Neno Mikulić - 2004

Iconografic concept of Neno's painting (cars, Mercedes logo, traffic sings, semaphors…) thoug «tracherously» urban, got nohing to do with pop-art repertoir. In the same manner, his «caricatural» figures inspite «gravitation» turning every picture upside down (questioning ironicly - what is real, and what is illusion in it) seizing from any comic-caricatural sterotype. Closely relation with works of whole range of young artists (Milan Pavlović, Jure Meden, Ciril Horjak, Maico&Mirko…) situates Neno Mikulić at globaly actual «scene» of artist in whose creative «melting pot» are being cooked spontaneously the most different variety of ingridents; piceses of urban culturological luggage (comic, caricature, graphite, urban «naive», eminent art…).
